This software is intended for someone who probably hosts their site on an Apache/PHP server (most webhosts, even the least expensive ones, will usually provide this.) In addition, you should be comfortable with editing very simple XML files (which contain information about your images, like title, date, size, etc.) in a text editor, and using FTP to transfer files to your website.

All this script does is assemble pages from template files (that you can redesign however you like), and applies them to each image. This allows you to change the design of an entire gallery by just changing one template file rather than editing each page. Adding new items to a gallery is as simple as uploading the images, and adding another entry to an xml file containing its relevant info.

This demo gallery shows it in action, and I've included it in the download so you can try using it immediately. It is also used in all the galleries in my gallery section.
